VNA registered nurses provide skilled nursing care in the home prescribed by a physician. VNA RN's provide services to patients such as disease process teaching and management, medication teaching and monitoring, nutrtional teaching, wound care, ostomy care, I.V. therapy, infection control teaching as well as home safety teaching.
VNA provides home health aides to assist patients in their homes under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist. Home health aides assist patients with their activities of daily living such as bathing and dressing, range of motion excercises, and instruct on safety awareness in the home.
VNA Physical therapists provide servies in the home that are prescribed by a physician. Physical therapy services are ordered to help patients restore function, improve mobility, relive pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilites. They restore, maintain and promote overall fitness and health.
VNA Occupational therapists provide services in the home that are prescribed by a physician. Occupational therapy services are ordered for patients who have conditions that are mentally, physically, developmentally or emotionally disabling to improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living environments. They also help patients to develop, recover, or maintain daily living skills.
VNA social workers provide services in the home prescribed by a physician. VNA social workers help patients function the best way they can in their environment.
