Wound V.A.C. Therapy
V.A.C or vacuum assisted closure is a non-invasive system ordered by a physician. The wound vac is used to promote healing of complicated, difficult to heal chronic wounds.
The wound vac uses negative pressure along with a special dressing to draw the edges of the wound together. The device applies negative pressure to the dressing positioned inside the wound. This helps remove infectious materials and other fluids while stimulating the growth of healthy tissue. The wound vac can be used to treat several wound sites simultaneously.
